James and Gayatri (my brother and his wife) just had their first baby, Lilly Uma Utley! She was born 6 lbs 8oz.

I'm extremely baby hungry, but we are waiting til Landon is home! Hopefully soon!!!!!

It's been a while......

So I had no idea that it had been THAT long since I posted anything. Unfortunately, I don't really have any recent pictures. Landon isn't really a fan of being in pictures, and I hate taking pictures of myself, so........Anyway, in case you are out of the loop, I thought I would update this and tell everybody what we are up to.
Landon is now stationed in 29 Palms, California, and he isn't to excited about it. We have a house down there, but I am living in St. George working as a manager at Target and going to school. There really wasn't much for me in 29 Palms, so we decided I should live in St. George where I could work a full-time job. Landon is gone a lot with his job, so I really didn't want to be alone in the middle of nowhere. We take turns driving back and forth, so we usually see eachother every weekend or at least everyother weekend. He recently hit his three year mark in the Marine Corp, so he got a little bit of a raise which was nice:)
I am still working on my degree from Washington State University. I get to finish my last semesters up online which is very nice! I should be done by the end of spring! I will be so happy! I am ready to start my career!
Landon is coming home for ten days at the end of the month, so hopefully I will get some pictures then! I'm going to try and keep this updated!

It is great to be back in the desert where the sun shines most of the time. We were able to take a Saturday afternoon and go shooting with the family:)

So it has been forever since I've posted because life has been so CRAZY!! For those of you who don't know, Landon and I are back in St. George. We drove down here from Washington at the end of January. Unfortunately, Landon only has about a week left here before he has to check into the Marine Corps base in Twenty Nine Palms, Ca. I am staying behind in St. George to work. I am sad to be separated from my husband:( but we will get to see each other often because he will only be a few hours away. Landon is expected to deploy to Afganistan in five months, so the time we have together now is valuable!!!!!!! I don't want him to go, but Landon wants to do his duty. I'm already an emotional wreck!

So it is official! Landon received his orders to Twentynine Palms, CA! We will be leaving here on the 23rd of Jan. and making our way down south! We are stopping in St. George for at least a month! See ya soon!

Movin to Cali!

For those of you who don't know, Landon is awaiting orders to be stationed in California. We weren't really expecting to be leaving here so soon, but I guess that's how it goes in the military. We aren't sure of the exact dates and details yet, but we will keep you posted.

Our First Christmas!!!!!!

Ok, so I know it is pretty late, but I wanted to share our first Christmas with you. The week of christmas was crazy at work because of the extreme snow. Sears closed early all week because the weather was so bad. We had to deal with a lot of upset people who left their shopping until the last minute. Landon got a couple extra days off because the base closed down when the roads got too icy. It was nice to have him home, so he could drive me around in his truck. My little car would've got stuck for sure.

I woke Landon up extremely early to open our gifts! He got me a nice new watch, and I got him a new knife and some targets for when he goes shooting. We decided to keep Christmas small because of our move coming up. I made breakfast, and we got to spend some time together before he had to go to work. It made me homesick when he left for work, but he managed to get off early, so it was short-lived. We ended our night by going to see the new Tom Cruise movie. It was very good. We had a wonderful day!!!!!!!

So I am stuck inside today because it has been snowing! Landon is on base picking up guys who couldn't get through the snow. I'm extemely bored, but it is nice to have a snow day to relax. I hope it stops soon!

I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving! Landon and I spent our thanksgiving with my Uncle Dan, Aunt Libby, and my cousin Nick. It was great to see them, and Aunt Libby made a wonderful meal.

The holiday season is in full swing, and work is very busy. It has been hard for Landon and I to actually get any quality time off together, but we take what we can get!

Unfortunately, we are stuck here for christmas, but we are trying to make the most of it. We got our very first christmas tree, and our stockings are hanging on the wall!

Where we are!!!!

We miss home, but we are enjoying the time we have up here in Washington. Living up here, Landon and I have both realized that we are made for the desert. Sometimes the rain up here is just too much. There are some beautiful spots up here, and I thought I would put some pictures of our area up. It should give our friends and family an idea of our surroundings!

Life has been busy!

We have been keeping busy, but I thought I would drop a note about what we've been up to. I am just finishing up my time with Target. For those of you who don't know, I gave my two weeks notice last week because I am going to be the softlines merchandising manager at Sears. It pays more, and I won't haave to deal with anry people all day. I am happy about it. I hope it is a wise decision. I really can't wait to finish my degree at Washington State, so I can start my career.
Landon has been working a lot, but we got the chance to go to lunch this weekend with our friends Alyson and Doug. Landon's birthday is just around the corner, and he is already counting down til when he gets his new gun.
We are very excited for Halloween! I've got the front all decorated and my witch hat out, so we are ready for the trick-or-treaters!

So I realize that I haven't blogged in the longest time, but life has been pretty busy. Landon is busy with work. He has been escorting the British Royal Marines while they are in town. I've been working a lot too, but school has been taking up most of my time. I am so excited to finally finish, so I can start teaching full time!

My family has been up here in Washington visiting this past week. We are having a blast. I was waiting for my my to come, so I could get my house ready for Halloween. It is my favorite holiday.

It was so nice to have my parents and my sister-in-law, Whitney, here. We went across the water to Seattle this past weekend to visit my Uncle Dan and Aunt Libby. We went to the casino on the Indian reservation for the evening, and it was a blast. Landon and I came out with about a hundred dollars, but my aunt and uncle were the big winners. They won about $2300!

My parents leave tomorrow, and I am very sad to see them go. I am planning to visit home this January to see Steph's baby, so I will get to see them again soon.

I never handled a gun until I met Landon. We go shooting almost every week now out at our spot. Landon just got an AR and I shoot his 1911. I am definitely a beginner, but Landon has taught me more than I could ever think to know about guns. Actually, I am a pretty decent shot.
